We really should call this post Not So Secret. Secret Garden Party is probably one of the best open secrets about festival season. There was a time when only a select few had heard about it, but now it’s one of the key festivals to cross off your hit list.
We were very lucky to attend a few years back after a few in our crew had been raving about it. To say it was one of the best festival experiences we’ve ever had is to put it lightly. We’re proud to see that Secret Garden Party has gone on to strength to strength, there’s something kinda wonderful about watching a festival emerge, find it’s feet and then really get into the swing of things.
For those (few) of you who don’t know what we’re on about, Secret Garden Party 2014 takes place 24 – 27 July in lovely Cambridge. It’s got a great community (read: slightly hippy) vibe with an ecclectic line-up including the always fantastic Fat Freddy’s Drop, heavy-hitters Public Enemy, and the legend that is David Rodigan.
Like any great festival, it’s never all about the music but that indescribable vibe you feel when you are there. Those odd little moments and the weird and wonderful stuff you uncover. The team that produce Secret Garden Party make the occasion of it a big part of the festival. Secret Garden Party really nailed that last time we went and we’re looking forward to being it again this year and feeling it just get better and better.
If you’d like to join us at Secret Garden Party tickets are still available.
Stay tuned for our previews in the coming weeks.
