We have all been hit with those now infamous words that come screeching over the tannoy ‘blah blah regulate the service blah blah’. Accompanied with that sinking feeling is the knowledge that your journey now rests entirely in the hands of the driver. A man dressed in a uniform has now become your god

As you frantically try to piece together your excuses for being late. Ask yourself this; Why does a controlled train network need regulating? Trains unlike buses do not wait longer at stations for passengers. They also have no traffic to negotiate. Here comes the kicker, by regulating the service we are waiting longer, surely we are likely to be behind schedule and need speeding up

Conspiracy? You knew so. Now all we need is a motive….hmm..control? Nah..money?  Uh-Uh..um….un-sanctioned tea breaks? Oh hell yes!
