A Man Named Saul

When I first heard Coded Language it was on the tube many summers ago. My iPod was set to shuffle and out of the comparatively tame tranquility of the 8mile soundtrack came Saul Williams bellowing out his lines. I often wondered what came first, the poem or the track?
