Trenchfoot

When the world ends, what will you wear?

As the mountains turn to dust, the seas start to bubble away and the ice-caps melt into nothingness, we can rest assured that with Christopher Raeburn’s collection we will be looking chic and be doing it in all with a clean conscious. The young British designer and Royal College of Arts graduate is pioneering the future of ethical design.

You may be lured into thinking that Raeburn has taken his inspiration from Nordic rave-wear and their Europop listening habits, however his exquisite designs and meticulous attention to detail build upon an acute understanding of materials and their environmental impact.

His creations are modern, clinical and intelligent; using a variety of reclaimed materials from British battle dress jackets, Cold War era camouflage ponchos, Swedish snow cotton to battered Italian military jackets.

His lightweight Spring Summer collection looks set to adorn the fashionistas and celebs at this year’s upcoming festivals with his range of semi-transparent jackets, ponchos and accessories. All that is left to find is a suitably hip pair of wellies.
