Science Of Warfare
Windows runs on 90% of all the PCs in the world with Microsoft Office and the demon child that is Powerpoint crippling a fair few of those machines.
Powerpoint has got it’s grimy little tentacles into every facet of our lives, from board meetings to strategic military planning. Yea, you did read that right, Powerpoint will kill you, well it’s trying to. From Sun Tzu to combatting terrorism in the Middle East, the science of warfare has been around since the dawn of time; it’s just gone binary.
The US military’s campaign in Afghanistan is planned from air-conditioned, well lit, comfy meeting rooms in offices far, far away from the troops on the ground. These meetings have nothing but good intentions but their world is often a world away from the realities of fighting COIN (Counter Insurgency). Possibly one of the most interesting and yet frustrating slides ever created highlights the war against terrorism in Afghanistan.
A military official was once quoted as say that once they understood this Powerpoint slide the war would have been won.
Good luck.
