Nike was named after the Roman goddess of victory, or was it the other way round?

Adidas kept it in the family, naming themselves after their owner. Who funnily enough was the brother of the guy who set up Puma! Tis a small world indeed. That conincidence pales into comparision that Dizzee Rascal used to date my neighbour’s, brother’s ex- girlfriend. Claim to fame or what.

We were blown away when we first saw the funky offerings by the collaborations at Adidas Originals back in our Innovate Don’t Imitate post. Jeremy Scott’s winged trainers were pretty hawt but harder to obtain than unobatinium.

The good news is… the latest pair of crisper than crisp, white winged wonders are available to buy from August 10 on Adidas Originals. No word on pricing just yet.

The great news is… Mr Lacy has just brought out the perfect tie-in metal tipped laces. Lamb and mint sauce, dubstep and Red Stripe, sunshine and ice-cream; somethings inextricabily just go really well together. Mr. Lacy’s go well with everything. For the sneaker freak supremo frayed tips, worn out fatties and flatties is social suicide. Your kicks deserve only the best, ditch the rest and give Mr. Lacy a test.
