LED Is Upon Us!

Words by Ursula
As we alluded to in to in our earlier post, last week, we are heading down to LED this coming Friday. As we colour co-ordinate our outfits and whack on some tunes from our favourite artists, now’s the time to talk. Be warned you may not hear from us till Monday morning!
Being the popular social butterflies that we are, we deliberated long and hard which days to go to; In the end we plucked for Saturday. Having seen that Leftfield and Goldfrapp were on we just couldn’t say no. Neil Barnes from Leftfield said of performing; “I’m really excited about playing my home town. It’s been too long! We’ve been big fans of Goldfrapp ever since they launched into the electronic scene 10 years ago, we’ve seen their meteoric rise crescendo with Head First, which we permanently stuck on repeat. Not a big electro fan? Not a problem, with a diverse set of artists from Pro Green to Boy Better Know, LED has something for everyone.
LED is running over both the Friday 27th and Saturday 28th of August. If you are lucky enough to make it down for both days, individual day tickets cost £40 (£32 for students) with weekenders at £70 (£56 for students). Considering that we paid £25 for our last big night out at Fabric with Ricardo Villaloboss headlining, LED is bloody good value. LED closes at 11pm on both days. But seeing as you are slap bang in the centre, you have a thousand and one options on where to go after.
London is a city where we are spoilt for choice, and as the scenesters dictate to us where is hip and happening, we will always be on a never ending search for that “reminisce till we are old” night out. This weekend is our time to decide what is cool. To tear it up, throw some shapes and hear some spankin’ tunes.
