Who said music and sneakers don’t mix? Collaborations, covers, and remixes often create the best tunes (Skream vs. La Roux mix anyone?) and the same is true for sneakers. Straight outta Brooklyn, Santi White, better known today as Santigold, has set a name for herself as a funky fresh chick with banging beats. She’s not one to shy away from the odd collaboration, having worked with Jay-Z, Major Lazer, the Beastie Boys to name a few. Her new album is also due out in the next few months! When Santigold joined forces with Vans to create a shoe of her very own we knew good things were bound to drop! Santigold is known as much for her music as for her sense of unique style. Working with the new Tosha Hi silhouette and Santi’s personal design aesthetic, the creation is a hawt limited Vans x Santigold collaboration featuring premium perforated black leather and gold bling. Not to mention some of the sweetest lace locks we’ve seen in ages. These sexy pair of kicks are out just in time for the start of Spring!
