One Wyld Night Out

In the midst of the biggest party season of the year we were invited to attend the W Hotel’s exclusive weekly party, Wyld Wednesdays. The W (as it is more commonly known) is a new addition to the London skyline, nestled in the middle of Chinatown and Piccadilly Circus. You might have even walked past the impeccably immaculate exterior whilst on the hunt for some noodles and rather than just ogling as we walked past, we headed in to where the great and the good get down to party.

We’re more familiar with London’s dirty club scene and we felt slightly out of place while standing under the looming black W sign, but luckily our names were on the guest list and we were soon whisked upstairs where a harem of beautiful women with impeccable smiles awaits you as you step out of the lift. As you are ushered past the main bar and round the back, you soon find yourself in the oh so exclusive Wyld Bar, a spotless, extravagant hipster cocoon populated by what is certainly London’s biggest disco ball.

The drinks are pricey enough to keep the riff-raff out and the scenesters in, most of the crowd work in the ‘industry’ and sport trendy haircuts. The music is a mix of electro, disco and party bangers. As a sign of how cool Wyld has become, we even bumped into the current talk of the town, electro DJ Myia Janes Coles. Perfect for that mid-week itch, we’d thoroughly recommend checking out the night, which takes place every Wednesday night. That’s if you can get onto the guest list.
